Meat <a href=\"http:\/\/www.lspace.org\/books\/whos-who\/cmot.html\">onna stick<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.retro.co.za\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/Sosaties1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-2961\" src=\"http:\/\/www.retro.co.za\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/Sosaties1.jpg\" alt=\"Sosaties1\" width=\"800\" height=\"392\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Start with a <a href=\"http:\/\/travel4wildlife.com\/four-gemsbok-facts\/\">gemsbok<\/a> loin (rugstring), nicely matured, cubed. Bacon is good. Some dried apricots, soaked in water for a few hours (also soak the skewers so they don&#8217;t burn). Some blanched onion, and some cherry tomatoes (it helps to work things out ahead of time, I had 8 skewers, 24 cubes of meat, 16 apricot halves, 16 tomatoes and 10 rashers of bacon cut into thirds. Some sosaties got more bacon, some got less onion).<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.retro.co.za\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/Sosaties2.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-2962\" src=\"http:\/\/www.retro.co.za\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/Sosaties2.jpg\" alt=\"Sosaties2\" width=\"800\" height=\"413\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Drizzled with <a href=\"http:\/\/www.paarman.co.za\/coat_and_cook.aspx\">olive oil &amp; rosemary sauce<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.retro.co.za\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/Leftover.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-2963\" src=\"http:\/\/www.retro.co.za\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/Leftover.jpg\" alt=\"Leftover\" width=\"552\" height=\"480\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>There was a bit of loin left, that got sauced up and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.braai.co.za\/blog\/generalbraai\/what-is-a-braai\/\">braaied<\/a> separately. Also braaied a kilo of gemsbok <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Boerewors\">wors<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Add a green salad and half a butternut wrapped in foil and put on the coals much earlier, and call it Sunday night supper.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A sosatie is a kebab.
