He told us that yellow-billed <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ewt.org.za\/BOP\/oxpecker.html\">oxpeckers<\/a> are somewhat rare (apparently at some stage they were <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sabisabi.com\/wildfacts\/redbilled-oxpeckers\/\">considered extinct<\/a> in South Africa), but that he had spotted one. Yup, we&#8217;re reduced to photographing trees. Then they just sit there looking at you. If they could, they&#8217;d get in the car.<\/p>\n<p>Hyenas can of course get in the car, which is why it&#8217;s a bad idea to teach them that food comes from tin cans with wheels.<\/p>\n<p>Just don&#8217;t feed the animals. You&#8217;re making them into <a href=\"http:\/\/www.salon.com\/2015\/07\/14\/please_do_not_feed_the_animals_oklahoma_gop_compares_food_stamp_recipients_to_park_animals\/\">welfare recipients<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Back up the H1-6 towards Mopani we came across a pile of cars. The lion is the only clean one I can remember.
