The <a href=\"http:\/\/gorgeoustown.typepad.com\/lex_culinaria\/2008\/02\/steamy-tomato-k.html\" target=\"_blank\">Tomato and Beef Kofta<\/a> recipe looked good. So I made that (first time I&#8217;ve made meatballs, would you believe it?). Also tried my hand at <a href=\"http:\/\/foodiefarmgirl.blogspot.com\/2005\/09\/pita-pita-i-too-much-eata.html\" target=\"_blank\">Farmgirl&#8217;s pita bread<\/a>, but slipped up, used too much water, had to add flour, and basically ended up with something closer to naan. No worries, it was great.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s easy to lose track of the fact that the house is far from finished when you&#8217;re having fun in the kitchen. I suppose I have to start from one side, and since the kids&#8217; rooms are almost there (Jessica has a mirror that still has to go up, and the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.catb.org\/jargon\/html\/N\/notwork.html\" target=\"_blank\">notwork<\/a> and computer power points still have to go in) the bathroom&#8217;s high on the list.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.retro.co.za\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/11\/s6300883r.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-479\" title=\"s6300883r\" src=\"http:\/\/www.retro.co.za\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/11\/s6300883r-225x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"225\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.retro.co.za\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/11\/s6300883r-225x300.jpg 225w, http:\/\/www.retro.co.za\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/11\/s6300883r.jpg 360w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 225px) 100vw, 225px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I don&#8217;t know how one is supposed to keep the bath apron in place (note strategic use of batten and screwdriver) but I&#8217;m hoping that copious amounts of silicone will do. (I had to cut the tile on the far wall in a curved shape to fit, which is why this took so long.
