It&#8217;s been&#8230; a journey. A long one, and we&#8217;re still on it.<\/p>\n<p>Maybe it&#8217;s time for the long awaited kitchen sink backsplash post. Since this particular wall consists of tile over shutterboard, I just drilled a hole and used a 6mm bolt from the other side to hold the rod to the wall.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.retro.co.za\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/04\/s6301176r.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-736\" title=\"s6301176r\" src=\"http:\/\/www.retro.co.za\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/04\/s6301176r-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.retro.co.za\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/04\/s6301176r-300x225.jpg 300w, http:\/\/www.retro.co.za\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/04\/s6301176r.jpg 640w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>For the shelf on the other side, I used two lengths of 12mm aliminium angle, cut and filed and drilled. This is where I noticed that the whole thing is completely out of square, the tiler could have done a lot better.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.retro.co.za\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/04\/s6301175r.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-737\" title=\"s6301175r\" src=\"http:\/\/www.retro.co.za\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/04\/s6301175r-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.retro.co.za\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/04\/s6301175r-300x225.jpg 300w, http:\/\/www.retro.co.za\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/04\/s6301175r.jpg 640w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I still have to change the bath&#8230; *sigh* but it&#8217;ll be nice when it&#8217;s done. OK, I also spent an hour at the range early on Saturday but that doesn&#8217;t count :-) Found a pretty good 7mm TC\/U cast bullet load.
