Recapping your FRG-7

You need the following electrolytic capacitors. I use 105C if I can.

• 1u 16V radial
• 2 x 2u2 16V radial
• 2 x 10u 16V radial
• 2 x 33u 16V radial
• 47u 16V radial (unless you're implementing the Gilfer S-meter mod, in which case this should be 22u 16V radial)
• 3 x 100u 16V radial
• 1 x 100u 16V axial (unless you're implementing the Gilfer S-meter mod)
• 3 x 1000u 16V radial

Gilfer mods

GILFER Associates had a kit to modify the ACG release time and to upgrade the IF filter.

Radioden mod

Radioden has a different S-meter mod which reduces the 47u capacitor (C426) to 10u or even 4u7.
