I wasted no time to get one (should have snagged three). They also had a number of second-hand\u00a0\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.kenrockwell.com\/canon\/lenses\/70-300mm-is.htm\">EF 70-300mm 4-5.6 IS<\/a>\u00a0lenses, priced from R3 800 to R5 000. All rated &#8220;80%&#8221;. I took the R3 800 one.<\/p>\n<p>And then I chanced upon an\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.kenrockwell.com\/canon\/lenses\/50mm-f18.htm\">EF 50mm f1.8<\/a> \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/petapixel.com\/2015\/05\/30\/battle-of-the-nifty-fifties-canons-50mm-f1-8-lenses\/\">nifty fifty<\/a>\u201d on Gumtree for R1 200. I had to get it mailed down from Pretoria, which cost me an extra R100, but that&#8217;s how it is.
